When to visit- Summertime, I did July
Entry Fee- Buy $5 bushel of lavender for entry

Lavender fields are all in bloom and I did not want to miss this part of summer. Most of them are pretty far away but I was able to find this one about 45 mins away from Seattle and it was so worth it. Unfortunately, I was extremely ill when this photo was taken not with anything contagious.

Fun Fact this photo is makeup-less, a shocker for me since I love makeup, and adding them to shoots just makes my vision come to life. But since I was sick I was not wearing makeup at this time other than a tinted lip balm or some gloss. And of course my SPF, please remember to wear your SPF, thanks :)

THE LOCATION

This field was so lovely it is only about one acre and we came earlier in the day so it was not swarmed by a lot of people and even had an outdoor lounge chair to take photos with. There was the sweetest little lady at the booth that let me borrow a basket to take photos with so that it would look like I picked the lavender even though I most certainly just bought the bushels.

At the booth, you can buy a bushel of Lavender for $5 and it gives you access to the field I got 3 bushels (2 long and 1 short) along with a mini jar of honey. The lavender does dry down and keep the lovely scent so it is a great addition to your house if you like dried flowers for decor. I put mine on my mantel. The field does indeed have bees, they did not bother me and I did not bother them and we had no problems. I walked through them and by them and luckily nothing happened, the lavender brushing against bare legs will make them itch slightly, so just keep that in mind. Since I was not feeling well I was only here for about 15 minutes but there really is nothing else to do but buy lavender and taking photos.

A SURPRISING WATERFALL

So on our way to the lavender, I saw this sign say there was a waterfall nearby, and I figured I might as well check it out.

From what I can deduce from the people around me you can hike to see the falls or you can just drive and park at the observation area and then just see it from there. There’s even a cute little gift shop. Two extremely beautiful places in nature in one day not too shabby.

I highly suggest bringing a landscape lens I still only had my portrait lens from the lavender field and unfortantely did not pack my other lens.
