New Desk Setup For New Life Set-up

It was a pleasure to set up my new desktop space even under the circumstances. It gave me a way to take my mind off the unknown and be present in the moment. This little nook in my living room is my ideal space for all of my ventures. When I got really sick at the beginning my husband had to be with me 24/7 I always felt so weak and wanted to faint often. I developed a new fear: that I would fall and lose consciousness and no one would be around to call for help. So whenever I felt it getting really bad I would just throw myself onto the floor. To say the least, it was an interesting time in my life. Bathroom trips became planned adventures, while showers became a dreadful frenzy.

Moving my office downstairs once I became more functional gave me a way to work, while still be supervised in some fashion. At this point of the illness, I was becoming more functional but we still had no idea what was happening to me. Trying to keep one’s mind entertained when you can’t stand for more than 10 minutes without wanting to faint is a very annoying task. So I began a few projects to keep my mind occupied, this just so happened to be one of them. Whenever I stood to decorate for a few minutes I would take another hour break of so sitting down so that I wouldn’t get too dizzy. Then I would return to decorating, it was slow and tedious but also relishing since I did not fully know how to decorate my desktop exactly. I had a very vague idea but the more I continued the clearer the vision became. Until it was full bloomed and executed. It became my ideal workspace, can you believe I love it more than I love my actual office.

The cute aesthetic background - for filming
The super powerful desktop computer - for editing
The plethora of tech everywhere - for ease use while creating

it was perfect, or at least perfect for me.

While setting up my desktop was coming to an end I found out about my dysautonomia. Once I was able to start implementing some of the methods used to help the symptoms of dysautonomia I began to feel a lot better. Not fully normal but way more functional. I no longer felt like fainting all the time and come to dive deeper in decorating without having to take as many breaks as before.

Not being able to do all the things I loved and constantly feeling sick was annoying but eventually, I started to become better and learn to manage my symptoms more effectively for my lifestyle. Life is going back to equilibrium and I have a new fresh workspace to create in.
